MyVeterinaryCareer - for Clinics

MyVeterinaryCareer serves Practices by offering a unique, cutting-edge, personalized recruiting service! We are not a Job Posting board, because as both Practices and Professionals will tell you, a Job Posting board does NOT cut down the pre-hire, resume searching and interviewing time spent by Veterinarians and Practice Mangers. A Posting is a passive search… done in hopes that a Candidate will apply for the job; MyVeterinaryCareer is proactive!

We save you TIME!
Based on our discussions with Veterinarians nation-wide, we learned that when posting a new job, Practice Managers typically post to numerous sites and then spend uncountable hours sifting through resumes, conducting background and reference checks, sitting through phone interviews and then scheduling working interviews.

At MyVeterinaryCareer, we assign one of our experts to work directly with you in your quest for an ideal employee. We learn what you want, and then we allow you to practice medicine, or manage your responsibilities as a Practice Manager, while we find you the ‘pick of the litter!’

We save you Money!
Practices are often times tempted to search for Veterinary Professionals through job postings, due to the misconception that this saves money. The reality is that conducting your own search is expensive.

According to the VHMA’s Practice Diagnostic Survey (2007), the average Veterinarian generates $284.19 per hour practicing veterinary medicine. The average hiring process, including reviewing resumes, checking references, contacting qualified candidates and conducting face-to-face interviews can take up to 30-40 hours and at $284.19/hr, you’re losing roughly $10,000 of revenue just to FIND a Candidate.

Attempting to cut the hiring process short, to save time, increases the likelihood of a bad hire resulting in termination of the employee, which can cost you up to two times the employee’s annual salary.

Advertising for an employee is only half the battle. If your search turns up results, you are then committed to sifting through resumes, cover letters and interviews in an attempt to filter out serious candidates from those who are wasting your time. MyVeterinaryCareer assumes the typical hassle, time and money fitted by Practices and allows Veterinarians to practice medicine and Practice Managers to run their Hospital.

In Summary:
Our Clients are treated to the highest level of customer service through:
A Consultation between a Practice’s Hiring Manager and a member of our team to determine what a Clinic expects from a new Professional.

The creation of a Practice Profile that will help us, and Candidates, understand the Practice’s basic finances (i.e. does the Clinic really need a new Veterinarian, or could they better utilize their current DVMs with the addition of a few Certified Veterinary Technicians?), services, equipment, caliber of staff, location, market segment served, and long-term goals for both the Practice and their new hire.

Our Ability to find another ‘star’ performer. Virtually every organization has one or two team members that management would give anything to be able to replicate those individuals’ skills and attitude. With our Assessment tool, a Practice owner can identify their top performers and following the completion of their Assessment, MyVeterinaryCareer will know what type of individual can excel in that particular Hospital.

Weekly updates. One common complaint voiced by Practices that have tried staffing firms is that the Clinic owner will go weeks without hearing from the firm. MyVeterinaryCareer speaks with each of our Clients on a weekly basis, if for no other reason than to check in, update the Practice to our results, and to answer any questions. High-end practices deserve high-end service! A thorough process. Only after we understand what a Practice is looking for, do we begin searching for Professionals.
